Here is a little dragon with a little egg that matches the large egg behind it. The dragon is only about 1 inch tall and 2 inches long.

The egg is made by sculpting polymer clay on top of a real blown out chicken egg. The egg is still inside and the sculpture is hollow. This egg must be handled with care.

Well, honestly I started out by just playing with dragons and saw a different kind of decorated egg in an art book then decided to try and make my own with polymer clay... It can be time consuming if you have lots of different colors but you pretty much just layer polymer clay over a blown out egg.

Yup, its polymer clay. It is an oil based clay that can be cooked at 275 degrees. It comes in different colors so you don't need glaze. I sand all my eggs to make them smooth and then put a gloss on some of them for an extra shine :)

Lots of time and effort :) I've been selling them for 15$ each but I'm going to have to bump that up because of the time/effort that goes into one :)
