Fantasy Dragon and Eggs by KatherineReedKS Fantasy Dragon and Eggs by KatherineReedKS
Unlike my these are not being sold together. If you like one egg, all three, just the dragon, or a dragon and an egg I can help make sure you can get them :)

In all honesty the eggs should be much more than they are because of the time one of them takes to make but currently I'm more focused on getting more supplies.

Dragon

How do you make the dragons and eggs? Like, With play-doh?

I use polymer clay. I sculpt with it then bake it so it hardens :)

What type of glaze do you use on the eggs?
Reply
:iconkatherinereedks:
KatherineReedKS Featured By Owner Jan 27, 2013  Student Artisan Crafter
The color comes from the color of the clay, every different color is a different shade of clay. They are glazed with a clear shine over them to make them pop :)

Well yeah, I was just wondering what glaze you use.

I see, I actually use a water based floor polyurethane. If you want to do it yourself be sure not to use an oil based one or you will damage your piece :) (That is if you are using polymer clay)

Yeah, I was just wondering like the brand specific but that's okay. I also polymer and just like to try out different glazes for my pieces.

Oh sorry, its minwax... but my eggs are super shiny because I sand the hell out of them too, if I put this same glaze on something that hasn't been sanded its nowhere near as shiny.

I had a feeling sanding was involved... My pieces would be next to impossible to sand, so I usually go for a matte finish. The quest for the perfect glaze shall continue!! lol

Ooooh, so beautiful!! :D
I love the colours (are those the colours I piiiicked? :w00t: ). My favourite ones are the big egg on the right because it has the most beautiful pattern I've ever seen, and the little dragon with the eggs. He's so cute :D
Amazing job!

Awww thank you :) I've been trying to decide on weather my little dragons should hold eggs with them... if they are not holding eggs than they look like they hatch from the eggs I make but I've made this one hold 3 eggs to show the 3 similar purple eggs made at the same time and my rainbow dragon is holding one egg to show the one egg I made at the same time :P
