Kedith by KatherineReedKS Kedith by KatherineReedKS
This is my friend's OC character Kedith. I made it as a Christmas gift for her and he took FOREVER I swear :P I don't think I will ever do that many spikes on a dragon ever again.... He has around 300-350 from head to tail. My hands were so red from the clay that I looked burned lol There is also a silver underbelly that does not show up in this picture very much.

This dragon is about 4 inches wide. A challenge I had was putting the horn behind the ears and having them curl around because the ear really didn't want to have something pushed behind it and I had to really work with it to make it do what I wanted. Keeping the horns white was also a problem because of how much black and red was near them.

The foot by his head is actually the back foot and not a broken front leg XD

I put gloss on they eyes, horns, teeth, claws, underbelly, and egg.

I'm not a huge fan of the egg but I was going directly off of a picture that I was given and it looks pretty close to the picture. I think doing that little egg is what inspired me to do my larger dragon eggs :)

I think you must be mildly insane to put so many spikes on this one. Well done! It is a great deal of work. Imagine how much you would have to charge if you were to sell him. All the hours of work have to be taken into account. When all is said and done I bet you are very proud of him and he will remain in your memory for a long time.

I can't sell him, he was a priceless gift for my best friend. This dragon is a character she made and is now worth more to her than anyone could ever pay :)

This guy took so many hours XD I probably wouldn't make another one like him just because of how much it would have to cost if I tried to sell it. I get too exited and make my projects too big then regret it when I'm about half way done... You know, that point where you've done too much to quit but not enough to even be close to finished? lol
