Every Halloween my family and I make a pretty awesome pumpkin. I carve out a cool original design.You can see them and use them for free here [link]). The designs do not belong anyone else but we love when people download the pattern and send us pictures of how they turned out

Every year I spend hours on a pumpkin and then have to watch it be thrown away within a few days. I decided that for once I actually wanted to be able to KEEP the work I had done so I made a permanent one out of clay

I actually had some problems with cutting out the pattern because clay is NOT a pumpkin and when ever I would cut one side out the other side would refuse to itself, meaning, I could really only have half cut out at any one time. It did this because my carving tool was a bit too thick so I tried an exacto knife and it would drag and sag the clay and look weird. I ended up just cutting out every piece with my handy dandy pumpkin carving tools! They were thin enough not to reattach the other side and the serrated blades made it so it wouldn't drag.
